When you're out exploring the great Australian landscape in your motorhome, ensuring your fridge is working properly is essential to keep your food and drinks cool. The Vitrifrigo C85i Fridge is a top-notch appliance designed to meet this need, and here's a simple guide on how to power it on and adjust the temperature.

Step 1: Powering Up the Fridge

The power for your fridge comes from the 12v supply, which is managed via the Redarc control panel. To ensure the fridge can draw power, you need to make sure that the 12v power switch is turned on.

Here's how you do it:

  1. Locate your Redarc control panel. This is usually mounted on a wall or in a cupboard in your motorhome.
  2. Look for the 12v power switch on the panel. It's clearly labelled, so it should be easy to find.
  3. Ensure this switch is turned to the 'ON' position. If it's not, simply flip or press the switch to turn it on.

Step 2: Enabling the Fridge Circuit

Now that your 12v power is on, the next step is to enable the fridge circuit specifically. This ensures that power is being directed to your fridge.

Here's how to do this:

  1. Again, look at your Redarc control panel.
  2. Find the switch labelled 'Fridge' or something similar – this is your fridge circuit switch.
  3. Just like before, make sure this switch is in the 'ON' position. If it's not, flip or press the switch to turn it on.

Step 3: Adjusting the Thermostat

With the power all sorted, it's time to adjust your fridge's temperature. The Vitrifrigo C95L Fridge uses a mechanical thermostat, which is straightforward to operate.

Here's how to adjust it:

  1. Open your fridge and locate the vegetable drawer at the bottom.
  2. Look behind this drawer – you'll find the thermostat there.
  3. To control the temperature, you'll use the adjustment knob on the thermostat. Here's how the settings work:
    • When the knob is on "0" or "STOP", the refrigerator is not in operation.
    • The refrigerator is started by turning the knob to "1".
    • The temperature settings range from 1 to 5, with "1" being the highest temperature and "5" being the lowest temperature.

Adjust the knob to the desired setting, and that's it – your fridge is now set up to keep your provisions cool for your road trip.

Remember, each refrigerator's thermostat maintains set temperatures automatically, so you don't need to keep adjusting it unless you want a different temperature. Safe travels
