Step 1: Preparing the Motorhome Toilet for Use
Firstly, open up the toilet lid located inside your Interstate Motorhome. The toilet has a lever at its front which you need to slide, opening up the blade and providing access to the holding tank. It's essential to ensure that this blade is completely open before using the toilet.
After use, to clean/flush the toilet, press the blue button located on the top of the toilet. Once this process is done, close the blade and the lid of the toilet for a neat and hygienic finish.
Step 2: Removing the Toilet Cassette from the Exterior of the Interstate
Before trying to remove the toilet cassette, make sure the blade is fully closed inside your Interstate Motorhome. Inform everyone within your unit that you're taking the cassette out, as it's not apparent from inside the vehicle when the cassette has been removed. Finally, gently pull the cassette out from its compartment on the outside of your Interstate.
Step 3: Setting Up the Holding Tank
Setting up the holding tank is straightforward. First, simultaneously press both buttons and drop the flap to expose the tank. Next, lift the orange lever and pull it towards you to remove the tank, ensuring that the blade is closed inside the Interstate.
For each use setup, add the 'blue' chemical solution (or tablet/sachet) and two to three litres of water into the tank. Then close the blade by operating the lever manually. The quantity of 'blue' solution will be labelled on the bottle.
Ensure the orange lever aligns with the tank and slot it into the corresponding groove in the Interstate. Replace the cover and slide the tank back into its original position. Finally, make sure the lever at the front drops into its position, securing the tank in place.
Step 4: Emptying the Holding Tank
Begin by pressing the buttons on the toilet door surround. It's crucial to hold down these buttons and first push to release the pressure on the seals, then pull to open the toilet door. Lift the handle to remove the holding tank.
Take the tank to the designated disposal point and remove its cover. Twist the spout outwards and take off the cap to empty the tank contents.
To prevent any spluttering while pouring out the contents, press the orange button located at the back of the tank. Also, use this button to operate the blade while rinsing the tank using a hose or water.
Once the tank is clean, replace the cap, close the spout, and close the blade. Replace the tank's cover and wheel it back to the Interstate. Lastly, reposition the handle properly by pushing it up, then down behind the grey locks, ensuring it's located correctly in the Interstate.
