To ensures your journey is as comfortable and smooth as possible, you'll need to familiarise yourself with various components of your motorhome, including your gas supply system. Here's a straightforward guide to help you understand how to operate your gas supply.
Step 1: Opening the Gas Door
To gain access to your gas supply, you'll need to first open the gas door. You can do this by pressing the buttons located on the gas door surround. Here's how:
- Locate the buttons on the gas door surround - these are typically found on the exterior of your motorhome, near where your gas cylinders are stored.
- Firmly press and hold down these buttons. While continuing to hold, gently push inwards first. This action is designed to release any pressure on the seals.
- Following the push, gently pull the gas door open.
Step 2: Switching On the Gas Regulator Tap
Your gas system includes a regulator tap, which allows you to control the flow of gas. It's crucial to ensure this tap is correctly positioned towards the bottle you intend to use. To do so:
- Identify the gas regulator tap. This should be positioned within the same compartment as your gas cylinders.
- Turn the gas regulator tap so that it is directed towards the bottle you wish to use. This redirects the gas flow from the cylinder to your motorhome's gas system.
Step 3: Opening the Gas Flow
Once the regulator tap is correctly positioned, you can open the gas flow:
- Locate the spindle on the chosen gas bottle. This will be the protruding valve on the top of the cylinder.
- Gently turn the spindle anti-clockwise. This opens the valve and allows the gas to flow from the cylinder to your motorhome's system.
Please Note
Following these steps, it may take a few moments for the gas to flow through to your appliances. This is completely normal, so don't be alarmed if your gas appliances aren't immediately operational. Please be patient, and if the gas doesn't flow after a few minutes, consider repeating these steps or contacting our customer service team for further assistance.
Safety is paramount when dealing with gas supplies, so always ensure you're following these steps closely. In case of any difficulties, our customer support team is readily available to help out. Safe travels in your new motorhome!
