Fiamma F80 Awning

Modified on Fri, 16 Feb at 2:13 PM

Always remember, the Fiamma F80 awning on your motorhome is designed to offer you shade and protection from the elements. However, it's crucial to handle it with care and retract it during windy conditions to prevent damage. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to properly use your Fiamma F80 awning.

Step 1: Find the Awning Handle

To begin with, locate the awning handle. It's typically mounted at the rear end of the bed in your motorhome. It’s designed to be easily reachable and user-friendly.

Step 2: Close the Van Door

Ensure your safety by closing the door of your van before you roll out the awning. This way, you reduce the risk of accidentally hitting the door with the awning during the process.

Step 3: Use the Awning Handle

Once the door is securely closed, use the dedicated handle that came with your Fiamma F80 awning to roll it out. The handle is adjustable, so if you need to extend its length for better leverage, you can do so easily.

Step 4: Roll Out the Awning

Hold the handle securely and carefully roll out the awning just to the point where you can comfortably reach it. Remember, the operation needs to be smooth and steady, so take your time.

Step 5: Secure the Awning Arms

Once the awning is sufficiently rolled out, you'll notice the arms of the awning. Carefully unfold and extend these arms to secure the awning in its deployed position. This step helps ensure the awning is taut and stable.

Step 6: Anchor the Awning Legs

Finally, secure the awning by using the provided tent pegs to anchor the awning legs into the ground. Alternatively, if you'd prefer to use your motorhome to support the awning, use the foot clips located on the side of your motorhome to hold the awning legs in place. This will ensure your awning remains stable, providing you with a cool, shaded area.

And there you have it! By following these steps, you can ensure a smooth operation when deploying your Fiamma F80 awning. Don't forget, always retract your awning in strong wind or adverse weather conditions to avoid any damage. Happy camping!

Note: On occasion, awnings can get a little stuck if they have been retracted whilst wet. It is advised to wind the top out slowly whilst another person pulls on the face of the awning gently. It's always advised to pull the awning out to dry if it was packed up in the rain.
